DumpTriage · our first service

AI crash dump analysis for Windows, Linux & macOS.

DumpTriage turns a crash dump into an answer, for MSPs and software vendors, and for the IT admins and developers who debug their own crashes. Upload a Windows BSOD dump, a minidump (.dmp), a Linux core dump or a macOS crash report; it runs the debugger where there is one, reads the output and sends back a root-cause report. Except on the Solo plan, anything the automated passes can't settle goes to an engineer.

Free during the pilot. Five design partners also get human review included and a report within one business day. See the offer

MSPs

A client's server blue-screened overnight. Upload the memory dump in the browser and get back the faulting driver, the bugcheck and what to do about it, without anyone opening WinDbg.

How it works

Software vendors

Your customers send you minidumps and core files. Push them through the API, upload your private symbols, and get a webhook when each report is ready.

Questions

What is DumpTriage?
DumpTriage is AI crash dump analysis for MSPs and software vendors, and for the IT admins and developers who debug their own crashes. You upload a Windows crash dump (a BSOD memory dump or a minidump .dmp), a Linux core dump or a macOS crash report; it runs the debugger where there is one, reads the output and sends back a root-cause report with the faulting module, bugcheck code, stack and a plain-language summary. Anything the automated passes can't settle goes to an engineer.
Which crash dumps can it analyze?
Windows user- and kernel-mode mini, kernel and full memory dumps, and Linux process core dumps and kernel vmcores from kdump. DumpTriage detects the kind from the file header. Linux is in early access. To have an engineer review a report before you get it, tick the box when you upload the dump (not on the Solo plan). On macOS it reads app crash reports (.ips), kernel panics and spin or hang reports from spindump.
Does an AI model see my raw dump?
No. The debugger runs on our own worker, and its output has secrets redacted before the automated analysis reads it. A macOS report is read on our servers and redacted the same way. Hostnames are stored only as a keyed hash.
How long are dumps kept?
Dumps and transcripts are deleted after 30 days by default. You can shorten that or set up to 90 days, and you can delete any dump yourself at any time.
Can I send dumps from my own tooling?
Yes. Push dumps through the REST API, upload your private symbols, and get a webhook when each report is ready.
What does it cost?
We're taking five design partners: three months free, with human review included, in return for feedback. Anyone else can create an account for a free monthly allowance of 1, 10 or 25 dumps, depending on plan, while we're in the pilot. For more, email hello@performanceinsights.ai.

About

Founded 2026

We got tired of teaching junior engineers to read !analyze -v output by hand. DumpTriage automates the part of crash triage that doesn't need a human, and routes the rest to an engineer who has actually opened a kernel dump before. DumpTriage is made by PerformanceInsights.ai.
